[TEXT]

In the beginning was the artist. He photoshopped an image based on a dream He had of an island and a hazy memory of a surgical procedure from when He was 9. When He was finished He looked at the image and saw that it was good. He said, “Let this be a jpg.” And it was so.  The artist posted it on Tumblr.

On the first day, Mahalalel saw what the artist had done. He reblogged the image. And Enoch reblogged this from Mahalalel. And Asa reblogged this from Enoch. And Josaphat reblogged this from Asa. And Josaphat reblogged this from j0ram. And fuckyeahphotoshopimages reblogged this from j0ram. And aussiebiguy342 reblogged this from fuckyeahphotoshopimages.

On the seventh day, the image had been reblogged 37,021 times. Ulal came upon it and coveted it for himself. He dragged the image to his desktop and uploaded it to a new post with no Tumblr notes and no reference to the artist.

The artist thought to himself, “Cursed is the Internet because of you.” But He sent Ulal a message saying “Thanks for posting my image.” And He went on making images in photoshop.
